RLNR Family Child Care

Crystal Challoner is the owner and child care provider at 5 Little Owls Family Child Care. Crystal graduated from York University in 2008 with a Honours BA in Political Science and 2009 with a Post-Graduate College Certificate in International Business Management. In 2009 she moved from St.Catherines, ON to Vancouver, BC. Here she met her husband Brad and decided to stay in the Lower Mainland and put some roots down. From 2010-2015 Crystal worked as a Data Analyst for Numeris; she was responsible for analyzing, interpreting and publishing television and radio audience data. Alongside the National Manager, she helped lead the team of Junior Analysts. 

 

Crystal has always loved being around children and knew that she wanted her own. After giving birth to her precious daughter Abigail in September 2014, Crystal decided that she wanted to change her career and stay home with Abbey. Therefore, 5 Little Owls Family Child Care was created. Crystal's desire to help Abbey grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively has lead to her interest in helping other children and families in the community.  

 

Crystal holds the following designations:

• College Certificate in General Business

• Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

• Post-Graduate College Certificate in International Business Management

• 20 hour Responsible Adult in Child Care Settings program from West Coast Child Care Resource and Referral

• Emergency Child Care First Aid, CPR & AED Level B

• Clear Criminal Record
